North Sperrins Herb Farm is situated in the beautiful area of Glenullin, just a few miles Northeast of Garvagh Town, with Dungiven to the Northwest.
The Herb Farm is owned by Malachy Smyth, who has over 20 years’ experience growing herbs. Malachy’s experience and knowledge of growing and using Herbs (non-medicinally) as well as his great appreciation of the natural world around him makes him a powerhouse in sustainable growing and using culinary herb plants and seeds.
North Sperrins Herb Farm is based on 20 acres of farmland, with two rivers bordering the land, the wee Agivey and the Glenullin Water.
The Herb Farm currently occupying one acre with polytunnels, and outside growing space. The remaining land is currently used for sheep and young beef stock.
Future plans for North Sperrin’s Herb Farm are to open the Herb Farm and associated lands as a place of learning, health and wellbeing, where we will work with individuals, charities, community groups and more to provide a better understanding of nature’s healing power.
