Roots Salsify

Salsify is a traditional vegetable that is now rarely grown. It was commonly cultivated for its roots which are sweet, with a flavour said to be similar to oysters. It is a biennial and produces pretty purple flowers in the second year which can be eaten in salads along with the young shoots of the plant. Each packet contains 2.5g of organic seed.
